Jordison Construction is currently hiring qualified diesel mechanics to work on all types of construction equipment.

We are a commercial concrete contractor that specializes in all concrete flat work including foundations, slab on grade, parking lots, tear outs, replacements, sidewalks, as well as maintenance on all of our work. We are currently hiring qualified diesel mechanics to work on all types of construction equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Repair and maintain fleet of construction equipment including:
- pick up trucks
- trailers
- skid loaders
- excavators
- small engines
- Dump trucks
- Etc.
Our Ideal Job Applicant:
- CDL Preferred
- Must be able to operate torches and weld
- Have required tools
- Willing to work OT, nights and weekends Maintain/repair fleet of dump trucks and construction equipment
- Experience in diagnosing & repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics & basic electrical wiring
- 3 years experience on construction equipment preferred
- Clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Repairs engine failure, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and replacing parts and component such as suspension, steering brakes, wheel seals, drive line components.
- Diagnoses check engine light with computer which company provided
- Uses computers to order parts.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of service and repairs
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions: troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance
- Perform annual inspections
- Must have basic hand tools, be able to use air tools safely
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
- Must be able to work in an environment with limited supervision.
- Reports to service manager on repairs that need to be addressed by outside vendors to coordinate repair in a timely fashion.
- Needs to be able to read schematics and parts drawings.
